Our readers are not your data pool. Is it worth the 6k?Yes, the lighting and music (good lord that subwoofer) and overall mood make the game feel very different from any other new pin out there.
I feel like it has potential a good pin for pinheads moving into the NIB space as, despite all the depth in gameplay and complex lighting and segment displays, it's still a single level playfield and a fairly uncluttered one comparatively speaking. So depending on how good Spooky is with fit and finish it could be a real breeze to work on as far as regular maintenance is concerned.More generally, hopefully this is the pin that gets Spooky mentioned in the same breath as Stern and JJP once and for all. AMH, Rob Zombie and Jetsons were all perfectly competent efforts but this is the first Spooky machine that really made me take a step back and say 'wow this outfit is the real deal'. Only you can make that call, but having bought one I can say for me personally it was worth the $6k.The game is just super fun, it's a really well thought out and complete package. It's got the whole easy to learn, hard to master thing going. As far as actual physical value, it's crammed with mechs and tech. Three flippers, 5 slingshots, 3 individually controlled drops, two scoops, 2 in-playfield segmented displays, 4 backglass segmented displays, LCD display, rotating beacon, laser cut side rails, full RGB lighting for both inserts and GI. There's a lot going on.
